Awards Ceremony: July 21st , 2018; immediately after the final concerto concert.
Admission will be limited to a maximum of 24 applicants to be chosen after screening of all DVDs by a selected committee constituted by the piano faculty of Mahidol University College of Music. The result of the tape audition (preliminary audition) will be announced on the website (Date is TBA) and communicated to the contestants.
The 24 contestants taking part in the First Round of the competition will be expected to attend a meeting in (Venue is TBA), College of Music on (July 15th /Time is TBA), to be briefed on all aspects of the competition and to determine the order in which the contestants will be performing during the competition which will be determined by drawing lots during that meeting.
Each contestant will be offered a piano to practice at the College of Music, for at least three hours daily from July 15th, 2018 until their elimination from the competition. Each contestant will be given 10 minutes before the First Round on July 16-17 at an assigned time to try out and select a piano in the auditorium. In the final round, contestants will use Yamaha concert grand in the Prince Mahidol Hall for their concerto performance.
All contestants will need to bear costs of air tickets, local transportation, accommodation and meals during the competition at their own expenses. A list of on-campus and off-campus hotels will be provided to the 24 selected contestants.
Once the contestants pass onto the semi-final round, each contestant will receive 5,000 Thai Baht cash prize to help to subsidize the remaining of the competition.
