Career Development Center
A successful musician in the 21th century requires additional skills beyond playing an instrument. Networking, marketing, project planning, writing, communicating, time and stress management, are now an essential part of a musician’s portfolio.
College of Music has established a Career Development Center to assist students and alumni to advance and maintain a flourishing career path as a professional musician. Students and alumni will develop an understanding of the techniques and strategies required to promote their artistry and musical ventures.
The Career Development Center offers guidance for students and alumni to identify and achieve individual goals for career successes by providing resources, individual counseling appointments, organizing a variety of seminars and activities, building self-confidence and self-esteem, developing a positive professional reputation by creating promotional tools, and expanding freelance opportunities by being a hub between students and employers.
