China Dialogues

China’s influence in the modern world of composition has produced many classic works. Two are on display here as conductor Zhang Guoyong returns to lead TPO in performances of Yuan-kai Bao’s A Dialogue on Flowers. This is followed by the most famous and loved Chinese composition of the last century – The Butterfly Lovers violin concerto performed by soloist Cheng Yiqin.
