On 18 May 2026, Mahidol University together with College of Music, Mahidol University officially launched the “Play It Forward – Piano for Life, Chance for Change” project at MACM Hall, College of Music, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The initiative aims to create educational opportunities and support youth development through music by refurbishing and redistributing 300 pianos that are no longer suitable for professional training to schools, hospitals, and communities across Thailand. The project also includes ongoing music learning activities to expand access to music education for children, youth, and communities nationwide.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University and Chairman of the Mahidol University Foundation under the Royal Patronage, together with distinguished supporters and partners from across sectors.
“Play It Forward” reflects Mahidol University’s commitment to sustainability through resource optimization, reducing inequality in educational access, and building collaborative partnerships between academia, the private sector, and society to create meaningful and lasting social impact.
