A Supreme Honor: College of Music and Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra Perform for Their Majesties the King and Queen

The College of Music, Mahidol University, led by Dean Piyawat Louilarpprasert, along with the executive team and faculty, was deeply honored by the royal presence of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana. Their Majesties presided over the “National Unity Concert” (Music of Loyalty: Harmonizing Hearts in Remembrance of Royal Grace) at Prince Mahidol Hall on March 7, 2026.

This historic performance featured the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), joined by the Mahidol University Choir distinguished alumni artists of the College of Music, and distinguished guest artists, under the baton of Col. Dr. Prateep Suphanrojn. The concert showcased a powerful repertoire of patriotic songs, utilizing the universal language of music to express profound loyalty and foster national unity and pride.

On this auspicious occasion, the Dean of the College of Music was granted a royal audience to receive a royal bouquet and join in a commemorative photo session with Their Majesties. This represents the highest honor for our institution and all the performers, reaffirming our commitment to musical excellence and our dedication to honoring the royal grace that continues to inspire the nation.
