On the afternoon of February 17, 2026, Dr. Piyawat Louilarpprasert, Dean of the College of Music, Mahidol University, participated in the press conference for the upcoming “National Unity Concert” (Music of Loyalty, Uniting Hearts in Remembrance of Royal Benevolence) at Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The event was honored by the presence of distinguished executives and key figures who shared their vision for this historic event, including Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, President of Mahidol University, who presided over the ceremony; Mr. Chai Eamsiri, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited; Mr. Kittiphong Sansomboon, Chief Commercial Officer of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited; and Dr. Piyawat Louilarpprasert, Dean of the College of Music. Furthermore, Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, Chairperson of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), delivered an inspiring message via VTR, highlighting the significant role of the orchestra in this performance. The event also featured a special keynote address by M.L. Panadda Diskul, with Clinical Professor Emeritus Udom Kachintorn, MD, Member of the Mahidol University Council, alongside university executives and members of the press, in attendance.
The “National Unity Concert” is a collaborative effort between the College of Music, Mahidol University; Mahidol University Foundation under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn; Mahidol University Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage; Thai Airways International Public Company Limited; and Global Plus Entertainment Agency Co., Ltd. Performed by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), the concert is organized to commemorate and pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. It aims to carry forward Her Majesty’s royal aspiration of using music and art as a creative force for society, which significantly contributes to the development of the quality of life and spirit of the Thai people.
The concert is scheduled for March 7–8, 2026. On Saturday, March 7, 2026, Their Majesties the King and Queen will graciously preside over the performance at Prince Mahidol Hall. This is a profound honor and a source of great pride for the executives, faculty, students, and staff of Mahidol University.
