Mahidol College of Music Hosts Thai Summit for Special Needs Research and Program Collaboration

November 11, 2025, the College of Music, Mahidol University, was honored to welcome representatives from Thai Summit Autoparts Industry Co., Ltd. led by Senior Vice President Chanapun Juangroongruangkit, along with other executives and company representatives. The visit was focused on exploring potential collaborations in supporting academic programs and research related to assisting individuals with special needs.

The College’s executives who hosted and presented the work included Dr. Boonyarit Kittaweepitak (Associate Dean for Education and Student Affairs), Ajarn Alongkorn Laosaichuea (Associate Dean for Administration), Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapol Setabrahmana (Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Innovation), and Mr. Piyapong Ekrangsi (Assistant Dean for Marketing and Communications).

During the visit, the Thai Summit delegation enjoyed a traditional Thai music performance and observed a demonstration on “Music Therapy for Children with Special Needs” presented by Ajarn Wiputh Kehasuwan, a faculty member of the Music Therapy Program. This was part of a broader study on integrating knowledge in health, technology, and arts to holistically improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs.
