Career Highlights

Kittima Molee was taken under the wing of John Mostad, former principal bassoonist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, in the beginning of her formal training in bassoon at the College of Music, Mahidol University. Eventually, Ms. Molee received both her undergraduate and graduate degree from the College of Music, Mahidol University and graduated with summa cum laude.

Following her academic excellence, Ms. Molee received a full scholarship from ASEA UNINET to further her studies at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, where she performed regularly with the Bläserphilharmonie Mozarteum, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Collegium Musicum Salzburg, and Traunstein Youth Symphony in Germany.

Ms. Molee’s regional performance experience came about in 2005, where she participated in the 12th World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles Conference at Singapore, performing as principal bassoonist with the International Youth Wind Orchestra. Ms. Molee was also a part of the Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble (2004-07) and the Southeast Asian Youth Chamber Orchestra (2012-13). Ms. Molee’s performs also as a chamber musician. She is a sought after bassoonist and performs regularly with the Amass Chamber Ensemble and the Sawasdee Woodwind Quintet, which she co-founded. The quintet has curated highly successful recitals in Thailand, Singapore, Macao, and a recent debut in China.

Ms. Molee strives to pass on to younger generations of what she has learned over the years and extended her musical career beyond performance into academia where Ms. Molee currently teaches as a bassoon instructor at her alma Mater – College of Music, Mahidol University. Before joining Mahidol University, she held the position of adjunct instructor at Bansomdejchaophraya Rajabhat University, Kasetsart University and Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music.

Previously, Ms. Molee has been invited to be a guest instructor and hold masterclasses both nationally and internationally at the MCGP Youth Winds Ensemble, the Yala Municipality Youth Orchestra, Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, Silapakorn Music Summer School, Yamaha-Rangsit Youth Wind Orchestra, Nontri Youth Wind Orchestra and also the Singapore Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Throughout Ms. Molee’s musical career, she has studied with Dr. Christopher Schaub, Yoshinori Honda-Tominaga, Krekkrai Tangnoi, Dr. Elizabeth Shoemaker, and John Mostard.
