Career Highlight

Karnyupha Jittivadhna, Ph.D., is an instructor in the Department of General Education where she has been since 2011. Her area of specialty is in the field of educational media design. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses, mainly focused on research methods in music, as well as, human development.

Previous to her time at the College of Music, Karnyupha had been an instructor in Science and Technology Education Program at Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University; and a research assistant at National Agency for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Ministry of Science and Technology (Superseding agency: Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation – MHESI)

Karnyupha has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in sciences, and holds a Ph.D. degree in Science and Technology Education. When she began her doctorate she received a scholarship from the Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education (Superseding agency: MHESI). Her Dissertation “Toward a Better Understanding of Biological Macromolecules: Creating Innovative Instructional Materials” received the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) 2011 Thesis Award and won Mahidol University 2010 Outstanding Dissertation Award. She was also the recipient of the NRCT 2011 Invention Award and Mahidol University 2009 Graduate Research Publication Award.

Currently, she manages and organizes a research project on development of learning materials in arts and sciences appropriate for music students and general public.
