Dr. Iñaki Sandoval

Dr Sandoval was appointed as the Dean of the School of Music in 2022. With over 20 years of experience in arts administration, he has previously served as a director of the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy in Estonia, and as Dean of Graduate Studies and Head of the Jazz Department at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, Spain. Being very active in the international Higher Music Education network, he is a former Council member of the European Association of Conservatories (AEC), a former Board member of the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ), and an Aspen Institute Spain Fellow.

Rooted both in classical and jazz music, Dr Sandoval is an internationally renowned pianist and composer with a distinguished award-winning discography. He has performed all over the world sharing stage and recording studio with musicians such as Eddie Gomez, Billy Hart, Bob Mintzer, Tom Warrington, Stefan Karlsson, Marvin Stamm, Sizao Machado, Greg Badolato, Carles Benavent, Horacio Fumero, David Xirgu, Peer Wyboris, and David Mengual, among many others. He is also the founding director and music producer at the record label Bebyne Records, which had produced over 25 albums for world-class artists.

Dr Sandoval is a Steinway & Sons artist and Roland artist.
