From a young age, David Parente showed a passion for music. Before joining the teaching faculty at Mahidol University College of Music in 2016, he spent much of his time traveling around the world performing. “I’m so grateful for the gift of being able to play music and share that gift with others”.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in Studio Music and Jazz Performance from The University of Miami (USA) and a master’s degree in jazz performance from Mahidol University College of Music. Additionally, he has spent time studying music at Florida International University, Berklee College of Music, and Stetson University.
Aside from teaching at Mahidol, Parente operates a professional recording studio and currently performs at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel’s Bamboo Bar and other Bangkok venues. David has been a frequent guest performer with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and a band member for many artists at the Thailand International Jazz Conference.
