The College of Music, Mahidol University contributed key insights on musical talent development at the academic conference “Advancing Human Capital Development through Diversity in the Global Landscape of the Intelligent Age,” organized by the Office of the Education Council (ONEC) on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Banglamphu Room, 6th Floor, Amari Bangkok (Pratunam).
Dr. Piyawat Louilarpprasert, Dean of the College of Music, delivered a keynote presentation on “Experiences in Developing Musically Talented Individuals.” He highlighted music as a vital discipline for social connection, team responsibility, and artistic practice, while emphasizing the importance of creating opportunities for the next generation as technological advancements open new academic and career pathways.
Furthermore, Pitipat Jitjulanon, a first-year Master’s student in Conducting at the College of Music, represented musically gifted youth in a panel discussion titled “Diverse Potential and New Opportunities in the Intelligent Age.” Alongside youth representatives in sports and academics, he shared perspectives on leveraging individual talents to create value and advocated for tailored support along students’ chosen paths.
The conference also featured valuable contributions and policy reflections from key educational leaders, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pravit Erawan, Secretary-General of the Education Council; Mr. Niti Narchit, Deputy Secretary-General of the Education Council; and Mr. Weerapong Oucharoen, Director of the Educational Assessment Bureau.
