The College of Music, Mahidol University, congratulates Aj. Pinchanan Jaiprasong, our faculty and Chair of the Music Composition and Theory Department on the release of the album “The Parkinson Chamber Orchestra”! His work, encompassing the arrangement and musical direction of all 19 tracks, debuted on all streaming platforms in October 2025.
This album stems from a major concert that saw 19 songs by the band The Parkinson entirely re-arranged for a 50-piece Chamber Orchestra, featuring the band and a vocal ensemble. The key contributions included:
Pinchanan Jaiprasong serving as the Conductor and responsible for all orchestral arrangements.
The Mahidol Soul Symphony Orchestra providing the instrumentation.
Dr. Yotsawan Meethongkum (Choral Director) coaching the vocal ensemble.
The successful concert was a collaborative effort between Spicy Disc and the Music Business Department, led by Penyarporn Laothanasin (Chair of Music Business Department) and MSBU students (Classes 24-27). Performances were held at Prince Mahidol Hall on August 17, 2024, and at Muangthai Rachadalai Theatre on September 28, 2024, with a cinema screening of the live recording held in August 2025.
