General Science

The aim of the general science unit is to encourage students to question ideas and facts, in a methodological and scientific manner, so as to help them make better judgements and become independent thinkers. At Mathayom 5 students are introduced to the scientific method and shown how it is applied to help us (as humans) better understand the world around us. This will be done by studying various key scientific concepts  in Biology, Physics and Earth Science.

This unit is designed to elicit critical thinking, investigative skills, team work, communication and problem solving. Students are taught through lecture, questions and answer and group assigned practical projects.
