Basic Music Technology
The aim of the basic music technology unit is to provide students with the knowledge necessary to perform, record and produce music using modern technologies in the 21st century. At Mathayom 6 students will be given an introduction to various music technologies, including but not limited to sampling, sound synthesis and audio recording/devices.This unit will provide students with a fundamental, but crucial understanding of modern technologies and how these technologies can be used to further the objectives of recording artists, composers and performers.
Students will be taught through lecture, demonstration and hands on experience, using digital audio workstations (DAW) and other recording devices. This unit provides knowledge and skills in an area that’s importance is ever increasing, and is therefore an important skill set for any musician living in the 21st century.
