Schubert Unfinished Symphony
Join us on Thursday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m. in MACM Hall as The Mahidol
Symphony Orchestra and Professor Pamornpan Komolpamorn present their first performance of the 2019-20 academic year. We also welcome our guest conductor Professor Yuttapon Sakthamcharoen to be our honor to join us the opening season.
The concert opens with Edvard Grieg’s The Holberg Suite, which explores energetic and increasingly exciting musical textures. We follow this performance with Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme, Op.33. Following a brief intermission, we open the second half with Grieg’s; Morning Mood; from Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Op. 46 led by guest conductor, Yuttapon Sakthamcharoen. We close the program with one of Franz Schubert symphonies most famous, Symphony No. 8 “Unfinished”. We hope you can be with us!
