Career Highlight

Ampai Buranaprapuk received a Bachelor of Arts (French) from Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok and pursued her music studies in piano performance at the Victorian College of the Arts, the University of Melbourne, Australia, with the degrees awarded: Bachelor of Music Performance, and Postgraduate Diploma in Music Performance. In 2006, she completed her Master of Music Studies (Performance and Teaching) at the Conservatorium of Music, the University of Melbourne.

During her Ph.D. study at the College of Music, Mahidol University, Ampai was awarded a Fulbright Junior Research Scholarship, which enabled her to work on her dissertation at Princeton University, USA, as a visiting student research collaborator during the 2012 academic year. She completed her Ph.D. in Musicology in the year 2013.

Ampai teaches courses in Western music history and literature and has worked at the College of Music since 2009. In 2021, her course “MSCY312 Western Music History IV” received an honorable mention at Mahidol University Online Teaching Award (Academic Year 2020) in the category “Full Online Courses.”
