Born in Hsinchu Taiwan, Linda S. Cheng & her family immigrated to the US when she was 12. Her formative years were spent in California and upon graduating with a Business Economics degree from UCLA, she followed her parents to Bangkok for their factory expansion in Christmas lights. Whilst working full time in the family business, Linda pursued further MBA study at SASIN at Chulalongkorn University. Linda worked in family’s businesses of lighting and ceramic tiles in Bangkok for over 20 years until a coincidence that prompted her to work for the College of Music, Mahidol University as the Associate Dean for Marketing & Communications. Her responsibilities were to raise funds as well as the awareness and visibility of The College of Music & Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. After 3 and a half years at the College, Linda was approached to work for River City Bangkok, the premier center for Arts and Antiques. Her main task was to rejuvenate and transform River City Bangkok into a cultured lifestyle center that focuses on antiques and arts appreciation, cultured lifestyle and lifelong learning. Today, River City Bangkok is an important leader in the art ecosystem of Thailand.
