Music Auditorium, College of Music (MACM Hall)

A solo piano recital by David Greilsammer

Labyrinth is a groundbreaking and innovative solo piano recital that challenges the traditional classical concert format. Inspired by a recurring dream from his teenage years, pianist David Greilsammer embarks on a quest to reconstruct the labyrinth-like dream and express it through music. He gathers various musical pieces from different periods, styles, and genres, assembling them into seven interconnected chapters that represent different stages of the journey. Beyond recreating his haunting dream, Greilsammer aims to push the boundaries of the classical concert and explore new avenues for solo recitals in the 21st century.
