The Yachia Trio is invited by Paris Taiwanese Culture Center to give concert in Paris and Bordeaux.

The Yachia Trio of the College of Music, Mahidol University, is invited by Paris Taiwanese Culture Center to give concert in Paris and Bordeaux.
They will collaborate with a famous Taiwanese writer, Ka-Shiang Liu, who always provoke the awareness of environment and love of the Earth through his power of writing. The Trio commission two Taiwanese composers new pieces with the text by Ka-Shiang Liu.
Saxophonist Shyen will present concert of electronic composition in Paris Taiwanese Culture Center with a dancer, featuring a cross-over collaboration. With the same program they will present a concert in University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, a school whom the College of Music has signed the Memorandum of Understanding in working together.

The Yachia Trio is made up of three Taiwanese faculty members from the College of Music, Mahidol University (Bangkok, Thailand). The trio is dedicated to performing music by modern Asian composers. In keeping with the Asian traditions and cultures, the group’s musical style is both reserved and aggressive. Their first recording is scheduled for release in 2016.
