Mr. Juris Lakutis, a winner of the Latvian National Competition, earned the academic Professional Master\u2019s Degree in the major Cello Performance and earned the Soloist, Orchestra Soloist, Chamber Ensemble Artis and Cello Pedagogue qualification at the Latvian State Jazeps Vitols Rigas Conservatoire of Music.
\nHe studied cello performance under the Latvian professor Eleonara Testeleca, a winner of the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow.
\nMr. Juris Lakutis has extensive experience as an orchestral player having been the principal cellist of the Latvian Philharmonic\u2019s Chamber Orchestra and the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra as well as along time member of the Latvian National Symphony until he joined Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. Orchestra tours have taken him to perform around the world in countries such Russia, USA, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Hungary, France, England, New Zealand, Germany, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Corsica, Japan, Thailand, Myanmar and Malaysia. Mr. Juris Lakutis\u2019s huge international performing experience has led him to collaborate with many remarkable conductors and soloists. He had experience as a cello teacher in Aum-Aree music school and college of Music Mahidol University. Currently, He is a member of string faculty in the college of Music Mahidol University and Co-principal of Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. Many of his students become professional cello teachers and performers.<\/p>\n
