South East Asia Music (SEAM) Museum Symposium

The first day of South East Asia Music (SEAM) Museum Symposium, featured the keynote speech by Dr. Tim Curtis, Section Chief and Secretary of 2003 Intangible Cultural Heritage Convention UNESCO, Paris.

“Strategies in establishing a Living Museum” by Prof. Dr. Wulf Koepke, Head of the Institute for Transcultural Competence at the Police Academy Hamburg.

“SEAM Museum Building Plan” and Tour by Mr. Krit Buranavitayawat, Assoc. Dean for Construction Development.

Closing today’s event with music performance conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sugree Charoensook, “Folk Music from North-East of Thailand and Laos” featured by national living treasure Sombat Simlah (Mor Khaen), Assist Prof. Dr. Sanong Klangprasri (Mor Khaen), Chaiwat Kopolrat (Mor Khaen) and Chirayu Sutchai (Mor Lam).

All the distinguished guests, speakers, faculty members and students were greatly impressed by the performance.
