Workshop for strings with Marie-Theres Hartel
Basic soloing and comping techniques: a new approach to play your instrument At this two-day long workshop, I’d like to help you finding your own voice on your instrument. We will explore new sounds, use them in a freeway, tell musical stories and learn a special bow technique referred to as”chopping”. We will dive into the world of alpine folk music and create our own melodies. This workshop is for everyone who’s looking for something different in music!

Yodeling is a form of singing on sound syllables which involves repeated and rapid changes og pitch between the low-pitch chest register and the high-pitch head register.
Back in the distant past Yodeling was used in the Central Alps by Herders calling their stock or to communicate between Alpine villages. Today yodeling become more important again because yodeling is the simplest form of communication in which prior knowledge and Wi-Fi connection are not necessary. In this workshop you will get to know the basics of yodeling. No prior knowledge is needed and the facts that everyone can learn to yodel – that Yodeling frees – that Yodeling is absolutely safe, gives you the courage not to miss this workshop.

Sounds, Improvisation, Modern Vocal Techniques, Body Percussion
At this 2 days Vocal workshop, you will be shown the new ways of feeling your own voice. Voice as an instrument. We’ll search for new unexpected sounds, improvise together- free and also in form, groove with whole body, learn how to open ourselves for the new interpretations of well-known songs.
This workshop is open for everybody, also instrumental player and beginners.
