College of Music Students won prizes in the 19th Osaka International Music Competition

College of Music Students won prizes in the 19th Osaka International Music Competition held on September 29-October 8, 2018 at Abeno Ward Center and Takatsuki Gendai Gekijo in Osaka, Japan.

Duangamorn Fu (College of Music, Mahidol University, Year 3) excellently won three prizes: Second Prize in Vocal Music Lied Course Age-U Category; Espoir Prize in Vocal Music Opera Course Age-U Category; and Third Prize in Duo Category with Pariyachart Sitthidamrongkarn (College of Music, Mahidol University, Year 1). Chanakan Amarangkun (College of Music, Mahidol University, Pre-College Program, Grade 12) was awarded Third Prize in Vocal Music Age-H Category. The three singers are students of Ajarn Nancy Tsui Ping Wei.

Mahido University Trumpet Ensemble: Termpong Jaieim (graduated from College of Music, Mahidol University); Nitphum Bamrungbanthum (College of Music, Mahidol University, Year 4); Natchanon Kongnoon (graduated from College of Music, Mahidol University); Suchol Nintawong (College of Music, Mahidol University, Year 4); and Narongkit Chanthadilokporn (graduated from College of Music, Mahidol University) received the fourth highest score among 31 ensemble groups, winning Espoir Prize. The group has studied with Ajarn Alongkorn Laosaichuea.
