About Classical Voice Department
The Classical Voice Department at the College of Music, Mahidol University offers an active, comprehensive training program that attracts some of the top singing talent of Thailand and the region. We have an accomplished, international faculty dedicated to teaching and training students to succeed at the highest levels. In addition to the full range of academic studies in vocal literature, vocal pedagogy, and diction for singers, our students have the opportunity to perform in full opera productions, opera scenes programs, chamber ensembles, and numerous other concerts and recitals. The Classical Voice Department is the first of its kind in Thailand, and we strive to be the best vocal training program in the country.
The students and faculty of the Classical Voice Department perform regularly at the College of Music, but we also work to bring classical singing to a wider audience. Within the last few years alone, the Classical Voice Department has performed at the Siam Society of Bangkok, the Bangkok Theatre Festival at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, and the Music and Performing Arts International Festival at Burapha University.
Opportunities to participate in master classes with well-known artists, and in professional-quality opera productions with guest directors are some of the reasons why students wishing to develop their skills in singing and performance choose the College of Music at Mahidol University.
