The ASEAN Music Journal (AMJ)
The ASEAN Music Journal (AMJ) serves as a vehicle for the dissemination of research and practice related to a wide variety of music disciplines and their relevance to ASEAN nations. The content of this publication highlights topics of general interest for music teaching, learning, and performance as well as the historical and developmental aspects of music in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. AMJ is the prime medium for dialogue and exchange between music researchers interested in Southeast Asia as well as its place in the world forum. Issues of the publication focusing on specific topics may be developed if the need arises.
Frequency of Publication
ASEAN Music Journal (AMJ) is an “online first” journal with forthcoming articles published online prior to print. There will one issue per year with a limited printing of hardcopies each annum.
